Laura's massage, manipulation, myofascial, reiki, stretching and rehab exercises are well proven to help your horse in many ways. Therapy sessions can help to ease tension and reduce pain, enhance performance, prevent injury and aid recovery rates.

EQUINE SPORTS MASSAGE ASSOCIATION

The Equine Sports Massage Association Ltd was set up by the first students to qualify in this country in order to maintain a register of practitioners and to encourage Continued Professional Development by discussions and further training courses. All members of the Equine Sports Massage Association are fully aware of the implications of the Veterinary Act, are fully trained, qualified and insured to work in conjunction with the veterinary surgeon responsible for any horse we are asked to massage.

MASSAGE FOR THE RIDER

Laura also carries out rider massage and uses her qualification in hot stone massage to achieve results with the horse and rider combination. She finds that problems throughout the horse’s body are often strongly linked to those found in their riders bodies. The hot stones are proven to further enhance the circulation when carrying out massage. The heat from the stones also desensitise the nerve endings meaning Laura can often get a deeper pressure to those people that find sports massage far too painful and invasive. This is particularly helpful when treating riders who have spent the time prior to their massage outdoors with muscles that take longer to warm up before the massage can take effect!
